The MFDUSA Competion Team

The Dance USA Superstars are a competition team comprised of dancers as young as 4 and up to the age of 19. For over the past 27 years, the competition team has been competing regionally and nationally. Competition dance has given these dancers confidence, structure and life lessons that they will treasure for the rest of their lives. Being a part of a team gives them focus, dedication, responsibility, lifelong friendships; and most important, how to be a part of something great. These dancers have balanced many hours of classes and rehearsals and have still managed to keep their academics their number one priority. They sacrifice a lot of their time to be dedicated to this team and the art of dance. Not only do these talented dancers have the opportunity to study with famous teachers and choreographers, they perform at multiple venues besides competing. Every year they surpassed what I ever could have thought. Between High scores, best choreography & invitations to the World Dance Championships every year. I could not ask for more! Being such committed dancers, they also participate in various events like the annual “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer”, as one of our biggest fundraiser iDance4aCURE, a 12 hour dance marathon to battle pediatric cancer. To date over $80,000 has been raised by our studio from all these fundraisers. This year alone we raised $40,000 how awesome is that?!

The Alumni of Michelle Ferraro’s Dance USA are currently teachers at the Tisch School of the Arts in NY and Broadway Dance Center, members of the Giordano Company of Chicago, Kegwin & Company, SoulEscape, Decca Dance Crew and Shaping Sound. They have appeared on Secret Life of the American Teenager, Glee, Two and a Half Men, picked as East Coast Future Dance Stars, Tap Kids, Hands Down Tap Project, sang on the “Voice” and danced on the Radio City Music Hall Stage as a NYC Rockette and alumni of “So You Think You Can Dance” season one and season 12. We have Gold, Silver & Bronze medalists on the United States Tap Team. Our MFDUSA Superstars have won Starpower Top Model, AMDA Scholarships, finalist for Amateur Night at the Apollo, performed in Debbie Allen’s Hot Chocolate Nutcracker, member of the Knick City Kids, Mr. Petite & Jr. World Dance and Miss World Dance. I am so very proud to be the studio that this all happening at. It is amazing to be able to share my passion with these kids and wherever life takes them and know that I had a little bit to do with it. We are always looking for new members. Please check with the desk for upcoming auditions.
