RECITAL: WE WILL SHORTLY BE TURNING OUR FOCUS ONTO OUR ANNUAL RECITAL WEEKEND! WE ARE GETTING THINGS READY FOR THE RECREATIONAL RECITAL (SAT. 6/6 11AM & SUN. 6/7 12PM)/ COMPETITION SHOWCASE (SAT. 6/6 5PM). OUR RECREATIONAL SHOWS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A TIME WHERE THE COMPETITION PARENTS GIVE BACK TO THE STUDIO BY VOLUNTEERING TO HELP WITH THE SHOWS AS THESE ARE THE PARENTS WITH THE KNOWLEDGE FROM COMPETITION HOW TO HELP WITH CHANGING AND ALL OTHER THINGS DANCE RELATED. WE HAVE APPRECIATED ALL THE HELP ALWAYS GIVEN BY THOSE PARENTS. IN THE PAST THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES WE HAVE NEEDED TO MAKE THIS MANDATORY FOR THE TEAM TO HAVE 1 PARENT VOLUNTEER FOR EITHER RECREATIONAL RECITAL SHOW AND HELP OUT. WE ARE HOPING TO GET ENOUGH VOLUNTEERS TO NOT HAVE TO MAKE THIS MANDATORY. THE PARENT VOLUNTEERS THAT ARE HEADING UP AREAS WILL POST ON BAND INFORMATION ON HOW MANY PEOPLE THEY NEED. REMINDER: AS KIDS GRADUATED WE ALWAYS NEED OUR PARENTS OF YOUNGER DANCERS TO TAKE THEIR PLACES. THANK YOU.
In reference to helping at recital: we truly appreciate volunteers, but since we are asking you to be responsible for other children please do not bring younger children with you when you are volunteering. For parents of SFW dancers – their ballet/Acro will be in the Saturday 11am show. All Moriches recreational dances will be in Saturday 11 am. SFR/JR parents – their Acro will be in Sunday 12pm show. If you would like to see these numbers, please get tickets for that show and kindly volunteer for the other show. ALL other parents – all the numbers in the recital shows will also be in the competition showcase (comp Ballet/Teen/Sr. Acro). We will NOT allow ANY competition parent in the auditorium during recreational shows “just to see a number ” like production/comp number etc. Please understand this is because when you are volunteering to help, this would mean leaving some child unattended/taken care of, and this also adds to traffic and confusion in the auditorium. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
Also, as a reminder, as per contract: all competition families need to purchase a total of 5 tickets. The 5 total can be spread across any of the shows or all in one show. **ALL charges on accounts including National fees need to be cleared to purchase tickets. Also since comp show is Saturday evening and recital show is before No large bags allowed (only costumes for the day show if they are in it) in till after the recreational show ends and dancers are all dismissed. NO competition dancers will be released until all recreational dancers have been. If your child is in this show and you are a parent watching the show and not volunteering as a changer for that show your child will be assigned a changer as only parents working the show will be allowed in the back there is way to much going on to have additional parents back there.
